“God With Us”

“God With Us”
Written by Felicia McKnight

“Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet: “BEHOLD, THE VIRGIN SHALL BE WITH CHILD AND SHALL BEAR A SON, AND THEY SHALL CALL HIS NAME IMMANUEL,” which translated means, “GOD WITH US.”” (‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1:22-23‬ ‭NASB‬‬)

An encouraging reminder to you today that you have so much to be thankful for this holiday season. For some the holiday season can be a depressing time as it turns into a memorial service for the things and desires we lack or a sad time remembering those who are no longer with us. The key to getting over this depression hump is to keep our eyes focused on what we do have and that is the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This season we celebrate Immanuel, the God that is with us. If you are unemployed, single, dealing with emotional pain, grief, sickness, or family matters remember God is sovereign and sees all that you are going through.

“Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.” ‭‭(Psalms‬ ‭43:5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

God’s grace and promises are covering you this season. He has everything you need to persevere through the most difficult and trying times. Hope in God. Be encouraged in knowing He is your ever present help in times of trouble. (Psalm 46:1). Stand on God’s promises today.

God’s promise for you…

I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread. (Psalms 37:25 NKJV)

God’s promise for you…

“Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’” ‭‭(Isaiah‬ ‭41:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

God’s promise for you…

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” ‭‭(Psalms‬ ‭23:4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

God’s promise for you…

“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is near the brokenhearted; He saves those crushed in spirit. Many adversities come to the one who is righteous, but the Lord delivers him from them all.” ‭‭(Psalms‬ ‭34:17-19‬ ‭HCSB‬‬)

God is BIGGER than everything you have endured and enduring right now! Continue to persevere and praise your way through. Be determined to have the victory over your emotions this season. Give everything that weighs you down to our sovereign God and let Him cover you with peace and joy that can only come from Him. God has not forgotten about you and He is with you right now. Be blessed and be encouraged!

Heavenly Father we thank you for this holiday season. Give us the wisdom and strength to keep our minds focused on what we do have which is your presence. Lord remove hurt, anger, anxiety, depression, unforgiveness, and discouragement from our hearts. Replace it with your peace and joy. As we stand on your promises we thank you for the hope in knowing that you are faithful to perform your word in our lives. We praise you right now that we are loved unconditionally by you. We praise you that we are walking in your favor and victory. We praise you that every heavy heart has been turned into a heart of peace and joy. We praise you as we we walk daily covered in your love, peace, and joy this season. We thank you for making this a happy holiday season for all of us by blessing us with these tangible gifts only you could give. Lord, I speak peace right now over every reader. We give you all glory, honor, and praise. In Jesus name. Amen

God’s PEACE be with you!
